Transitioning from Short-term to Long-term Disability Benefit

If you have been continuously absent from work on medical leave without a confirmed return to work date, have long-term disability (LTD) coverage through the OPC and have not yet notified us, email LTD claims management for information on the claims process. To help establish appropriate timelines, please include the end dates of your sick leave, short-term leave and disability plan benefits.

No action is required if you have already notified us of your leave or if an LTD claim will not be necessary.

Queen's Park Update

There were several questions in the House last week related to education funding, including concerns about class sizes and classroom conditions, staffing reductions and program cuts in the Toronto District School Board, the proposed closure of outdoor education centres and funding for special education supports and services.

Members also raised concerns about mandatory e-learning and student participation in online learning requirements, as well as supports for special-needs students, including concerns regarding access to appropriate educational programming and services.
