Planning Ahead to Support New Leaders 

Having a supportive network of colleagues and access to relevant just-in-time learning can make all the difference in a smooth transition. Our Navigating Leadership Transitions online workshops, taking place in August, provide an opportunity to connect and discuss some of the foundations to start the next school year in a positive way. Trauma-Sensitive School Leadership 

A new resource and slide deck for Trauma-Sensitive School Leadership have been created in collaboration with School Mental Health Ontario and our principal association partners. This guide draws on existing made-in-Ontario tools and resources for leading in trauma‑sensitive ways that complement board and school mental health and addictions strategies.

The House adjourned for the summer on June 2 and is scheduled to return in October. There were no direct questions related to education raised during the final week of sittings. 

Two private members' bills related to youth online safety received First Reading: Bill 137, Keeping Our Kids Safe Online Act, 2026 and Bill 138, Social Media Age Restriction Plan Act, 2026.
