Specific uses of technology are incorporated into the mandated Ontario curriculum at
all grade levels.
As a principal, you monitor the integration of technology into the curriculum when
you observe the teaching and learning process, oversee student achievement, assess
school programs and evaluate staff performance.
Becoming familiar with the instructional software programs used in the school is
helpful. When you demonstrate an informed interest in information and
communication technology, you encourage its use as a tool to support student and
staff learning.

The Ontario Software Acquisition Program Advisory Committee website provides a
list of provincially licensed classroom software. This software, available free to
publicly funded schools and school boards in Ontario, is listed by title, platform,
division (primary, junior, intermediate, senior) and release date. Career Cruising 2008
