  1. Dial 9-1-1 (if police, ambulance or fire department required immediately) or 9-9-1-1 (if phones require an outside line)
  2. Provide first aid as appropriate
  3. Contact parents/guardians
  4. Call the district school board’s emergency call centre


  5. Call your superintendent of education


  6. Call communications & public affairs


  7. Call and consult with the central office appropriate to the emergency involved:

    Occupational Health & Safety (staff injury)


    Social work/psychology


    OSBIE (student injury)


  8. Call the appropriate outside reporting agency to the emergency involved: Childrens’ Aid Society (CAS)


    Public health
