- Many school activities involve some type of fundraising.
- Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with board policies and procedures; for example, door-to-door canvassing by elementary school students is usually forbidden by boards.
- Ensure co-ordination of fundraising activities for the year.
- Use appropriate accounting and auditing practices for all fundraising; for example:
- submit all money raised to the non-public school account, following board policy
- issue receipts where appropriate or as directed by board policy
- follow board procedures for school council/parent fundraising initiatives.
