School Policies and Procedures

Individual schools create and implement policies and procedures, which must be consistent with board policies; for example, a school-wide homework policy, or a set of procedures for students to sign in late.

School Rules

Individual schools also establish rules with specific expectations for behaviour, accompanied by clear consequences. Rules may be specific to particular schools, but must not contradict board policy. For example, students at one school may not be allowed to wear hats in class, while at another school in the same board, they may.
