A principal is accountable before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Complaints against principals include allegations of:

  • Discrimination against individuals based on one or more prohibited grounds, e.g. race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability
  • Failure to implement accommodation plans for students or staff with disabilities
  • Harassment in the workplace based on prohibited grounds
  • Condoning or failing to prevent discrimination or harassment among individuals in the workplace.
